Conservations with Calyx
  Saturday, September 6, 8 p.m.

First Baptist Church, 239 Middle Street
7:30 p.m. Pre-concert discussion with the Calyx Trio

The acclaimed Calyx Piano Trio presents the opening night concert of CCMF's sixth season! Join the artists for performance and informal discussion of a varied program featuring the charm of Haydn, the folk inspired music of Dvorak, and the heat of a Piazzolla tango.

Audiences are invited to meet the artists at a post-concert reception.
Tickets: $20 general/ $15 student and senior


A Festive Family Concert  Sunday, September 7, 3 p.m.

chris nappiNew Bern-Craven County Public Library, 400 Johnson Street

The Festival presents a festive and informal afternoon family concert full of discovery and adventure for kids of all ages. This program exploring rhythm features local talents violinist Rachel Harmatuk and percussionist Chris Nappi. Refreshments will be served.

Brahms After Work  Thursday, September 11, 6-7 p.m. concertneil deland

Bank of the Arts, 317 Middle Street

Join CCMF musicians and radio personality Finley Woolston of Public Radio East for the perfect way to end the day. Featuring Brahms' dramatic and sonorous Trio for Horn, Violin, and Piano performed by popular returning artists violinist Catherine French and pianist Melvin Chen alongside CCMF newcomer Neil Deland, principal horn of the Toronto Symphony.

5:30 p.m. wine and cheese reception

Festival Finale Concert
  Saturday, September 13, 8 p.m.

7:30 p.m. Pre-concert discussion with Composer In Residence Suzanne Farrin

Season six comes to a dynamic close with Mozart's popular Horn Quintet and Tchaikovsky's virtuosic Souvenir de Florence. This concert also features the world premiere of a new work for harp written especially for the Festival by acclaimed New York composer Suzanne Farrin.
